With more than 500 kilometres of well maintained trails linked to another 1,000 km connecting to more than 15,000 km throughout Ontario, Kawartha Lakes is a snowmobiler's paradise. Restaurant and pub parking lots full of snowmobiles are a common sight as enthusiasts travel from through beautiful scenery from village to village on the snow. Nearly every community has a dealership offering sales and service to snowmobilers. Trail users must have a valid license and insurance, and should respect both the trails and other riders.

Peterborough & The Kawarthas

Northumberland County
Check out Northumberland's numerous trails, many of which offer opportunities not just for hiking, but also cross-country skiing and horseback riding. Northumberland Forest north of Cobourg on County Road 45 and the Ganaraska Forest near Elizabethville are just two destinations that abound with trails for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
